These books are a compilation of recommendations to the Governors of Georgia to allow certain persons to go through the Indian Nation. These recommendations were from neighbors, friends, and Justices of he Peace, who vouched for the industry, sobriety, and good character of the persons desiring to go through the Indian nation. Some people were attempting to recover lost horses, some wanted to see the countryside, and some wanted to pass through the territory to get to Louisiana Territory.
